What is Physical Literacy? 

  • Physical Literacy is learning to move in a coordinated fashion. 
  • The motivation, confidence, physical competence, understanding, and knowledge to maintain physical activity throughout life. 
  • Ability to move in time and space with efficiency, purpose, and confidence.
  • Read and perceive environmental cues and respond appropriately.
  • Interacting with the environment in a way that engenders positive self-esteem and self-confidence.
