Our Club recognizes the following Players and Coaches for their recent achievements. We are so proud to be a Club where people come together to help everyone achieve more.
Our Competitive League/IMPACT/WFC Club Academy continues its 100% record of transitioning graduates to the College/University level. With Arianna Payne graduating to the Grande Prairie College in 2020, Yanni Ntapas is our 2021 graduate and has signed on with the University of Northern British Columbia. We are so proud of Yanni for the work he has done in the Club and with TOFC in the BCSPL. We wish both graduates the best of luck during the upcoming Collegiate season.
Quinn Friesen is the January IMPACT/WFC BMO Player of the Month. Over the past few season, Quinn has shown significant dedication to his training and to his academics. Reaching new levels on the pitch and in the classroom, we look forward to seeing Quinn continue along his development path.
Congratulations are due for two Club Coaches that have achieved significant milestones in their Coach development and certification pathway. Coaches Gerry Wyers and Arianna Payne have officially become C-License certified. We are very proud of both Coaches, as it has taken many months for each of them reach this level. Special recognition goes out to Arianna Payne, as she become the youngest female C-License certified Coach in PGYSA/IMPACT history. Gerry and Arianna join Club Coaches John Botelho, Alex Nielson, and Collin Payne in becoming C-License certified. Next steps for our Coaches will be the Child/Youth pathway and/or the National pathway.
We have reached another milestone with coach certification in the 2021 Outdoor season. Every single Coach has met the minimum Coach certification standard and over 50% of our Club Coaches are under the age of 30. Our Coach development program and youth contingent are leading the Club into the future. Thanks for all you do.
