Our Club Sports Science program supports our players/athletes in reaching their short and long-term goals in sport and activity. We take a holistic approach to ensure our members maintain a healthy body and mind.
The human body works in specific ways during exercise. Developing youth require external athlete-specific support that starts at the cellular level and expands to the whole body. Our sports science program incorporates teachings from areas such as: exercise physiology, sport psychology, teachings in anatomy, neural development, biomechanics, and bioenergetics.
With a revised focus on player/athlete centred training instead of results-based approaches, success is defined by retention and transition of members to higher levels or to other sports and activities. Through the scientific study of sport, clubs, coaches, and parents/guardians are better prepared to support our youth members and ensure they develop at the correct rate and are surrounded by an effective support system.
