Criminal Record Check

As of May 2021, a valid Criminal Record Check Vulnerable Sector Check & the Respect in Sport Course is the minimum mandatory certifications to Coach  youth under the age of 18.

Coach Courses

Canada Soccer Active Start Course (U4-U6)

Active Start (U4 – U6) Is designed for the first time coach. The focus is on teaching good basic skills and basic physical literacy.

Canada Soccer Fundamentals Course (U6-U8 Female and U6-U9 Male)

Learn how to develop the ABCs of movement: Agility, Balance, Coordination and speed, while running a practice session that is fun, safe and keeps children actively engaged.

Canada Soccer Learn To Train (U8-U11 Female / U9-U12 Male)

The emphasis of this course is on technical and tactical development within a small sided game environment (6v6, 7v7, 8v8, 9v9). You’ll learn how to help participants learn basic principles of play, in a fun, and challenging environment focussed on discovering how to solve soccer problems.

Respect In Sport For Activity Leaders Course

You are currently accessing the Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders for BC Soccer. This program applies to leaders of youth in virtually any activity. Certain examples include Coaches, Trainers, Officials, Camp Counselors, Scout/Girl Guide Leaders, Referees, Leaders of extra-curricular and recreational activities. If you lead youth of any age and in any activity, you are an Activity Leader.

Welcome to The Locker

The Coaching Association of Canada welcomes you to the Locker, the central location to easily access, manage, and maintain your coach training and records.

The Locker maintains the records of a growing community of over 2 million coaches in Canada of coach training offered through the National Coaches Certification Program(NCCP) and its partners.

The Locker is also where your affiliated sport organization will confirm your completed training and coaching certifications, offer sport - specific eLearning, schedule events, and generate reports.

How to get started:

  1. Log in to the Locker
  2. Update your profile and email preferences.
  3. View your coaching qualifications transcript under the Certifications tab.
  4. Find available training events for your sport.
  5. Take online eLearning modules through the eLearning tab.
