Writeup: Keenan is our player of the month for August. A dedicated Goalkeeper, Keenan has grown into one of our leading Club goalkeepers. Working 4-5 days per week in both field sessions and in our Club Goalkeeper program, Keenan is setting a standard for the position. Recently participating in the BC Summer Games, Keenan played an integral role for the Zone 8 team. Calm and confident on the ball, fearless, and maintaining a commanding presence, Keenan has built a solid foundation. With the work ethics Keenan brings in every session, we look forward to seeing him continue to grow as a person and a player.

Writeup: Daxton is our player of the month for November. Since he started playing the game at 6, Daxton has been participating in our Club league and in our Prospects program. Leading the junior group at our recent performance testing session, his hard work is starting to show. With a calm and consistent demeanor, Daxton maintains a positive mindset, is very coachable, and focuses on his technique development. Along with the other Prospects players, we track Daxton's output with PlayerMaker. This allows us to monitor him throughout the week and provide more focused feedback. We are excited to continue working with Daxton and watching him continue to grow over the next few years.

Writeup: 'Canek' is our player of the month for April. Having been a member of our Club for about 4 years, Canek has transitioned into a dedicated Competitive player. With the added training, preparation, and work demand that comes with reaching one's goals, Canek has shown immense growth in focus on game details. Transitioning into a Fullback, Canek has a gift in his ability to effectively time his movement and anticipate ball travel many steps ahead. A very agile and explosive player that has an exquisite touch on the ball, we look forward to watching Canek continue to grow.

Writeup: Jacob is our Player of the Month for July 2022. Jacob rejoined our Club this past spring and since then, continues to set a standard for work ethic and professionalism. His consistent attendance at training sessions is paying off with constant improvements in his on ball abilities and off-ball movement. Jacob recently attended his first competition with the Club and showed a work ethic and maturity many times his senior. Jacob looks to have a bright future playing at the Collegiate level. We look forward to helping him refine his game and transition to the next level.

On pitch 4-6 days each week participating in personal training, team training and match play, Amneet is achieving personal bests on the pitch and the track. A very dedicated and focussed player, Amneet acquires thousands of touches on the ball each week. Integrating our sport science, strength & conditioning, and testing/tracking into her on-ball work, Amneet is quickly becoming a leading player at our Club. What his coaches say: "Quinn is our January Player of the Month. For many years Quinn participated in both Biathlon and Soccer. Respected as a dedicated dual athlete, Quinn decided to commit himself full-time to soccer and has been training 5-6 days a week for the past year. In that period of time, Quinn has really refined his movement on and off the ball, his tactical knowledge, and his control in tight spaces. Quinn works hard at his academics and continues to dedicate himself to playing at the collegiate level. Having journeyed through a development phase over the past year where he grew both physically and cognitively, Xavier stayed true to the teachings and took many challenges head-on. As we enter our Spring Academy program, Xavier has grown into a leader within our Academy group and is quickly becoming a true young professional. His reliability, ability to self-reflect, use of sport performance psychology techniques, and dedication to daily work on the ball, has quickly moved him up the performance ladder. What her coaches Say: Having trained in our High-Performance IMPACT/WFC BMO Academy since she was nine years old, Madelyn is an up-and-coming player and one to keep an eye on. Retaining a growth mindset and level of dedication equal with athletes many years her senior, Madelyn is a very focussed student of the game. The standout element of her skillset, is the ability to stay calm under pressure and secure possession of the ball in any situation. Additionally, Madelyn maintains exceptional balance and coordination that allows her to make corrections on-demand.

What her coaches say: Victoria is our February player of the month for her leadership, professionalism, and work ethic. Always ensuring that every player, no matter the age, feels welcome, her leadership will hopefully one day transition into coaching. For the past three years she has been putting substantial work into her on-field and off-field workouts. The results are starting to show with her evaluations within the Technical and Physical Pillars increasing significantly over the past year. With a goal to one day play at College or University, she is well on her way to making this dream become reality.
